0.6mm-thick Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating can expand 20times when exposed to fires burning at 1000℃, and the back surface temperature won’t exceed 200℃ within 5minutes. This coating can be widely applied to metal surfaces, including the battery packs of new energy vehicles, and it has a robust fireproofing and thermal insulation effect.

Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating
Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating is a double-component, solvent-free epoxy fireproof coating, which is applied to the surface of the substrate. The coating will expand and sponge when exposed to fire, and then carbonize instantly to form a thermally insulating refractory layer, delaying the heating speed of the substrate, and thereby improving its fire resistance.
- OVERVIEW
- PRODUCT PARAMETERS
- APPLICATION FIELD

-
Simple application
Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating has the advantage of simple application, and it can be either scraped or sprayed on. The painting thickness per application can be 1mm. Multiple applications can be carried out to obtain a thicker coating. -
Stable performance
The epoxy coating formed by Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating has excellent stability, excellent acid and alkali resistance, and excellent weather resistance. -
Solvent free
Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating uses an epoxy resin as the film-forming material, and the active diluent does not produce any organic solvent in the reaction, with the solid content being more than 90%, meeting ROHS environmental standards. -
Strong adhesion
Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating has been cured with epoxy resin and a curing agent to form a film, which has strong adhesion and weather resistance, and excellent acid and alkali resistance. The adhesion can reach level 0. -
Super fireproof
For Aerogel Fire-resistance Coating, when it is burned, the fire retardant rapidly decomposes to form a fire-resistant carbon layer, and the gas source decomposes to form a fire-resistant gas. While it isolates the air, the carbon layer expands to form an thermal insulation layer.
