On January 23, a delegation led by Tsinghua University President Li Luming visited Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), where a university-level Memorandum of Understanding and student exchange agreement were officially signed with TUHH President Andreas Timm-Giel.
The two universities reviewed their intensive engagements since June last year and reaffirmed a shared commitment to deepening collaboration in education, research, and innovation, particularly at the intersection of artificial intelligence and advanced materials.

During the visit, the delegation toured TUHH’s aerogel laboratory, where Tsinghua experts highly recognized TUHH’s pioneering achievements in bio-based aerogel research. Both sides expressed strong interest in advancing joint research initiatives in this frontier field.
